The two principals of Word Lions, Philip Morgan and Joel Barker, separately moved from technology to content. As network administrators and consultants, that light was the little green LED on computer that shows it is connected to the network. Then, Philip and Joel began turning on the lights in people by writing technical procedures and delivering technical training. Today, Philip and Joel lead Word Lions projects where they turn on lights for entire markets. They teamed up in 2009 to create honest, influential, fierce content.

Curtis has been creating visual and audio content for a variety of purposes since, like, forever. He’s helped create demos, courses, and advertising for some very large and some very small companies. His graphics help us explain complicated things with a visual language that is both casual and concise.

Karl Middlebrooks

Karl has been tweaking technology since the days of VisiCalc on the Apple ][+. He enjoys taking business puzzles and using technology to solve them, making people happy in the process. He’s also brought his love of writing together with technology, writing about everything from SQL Server business intelligence to integrating social network services and new developments in electroacoustic music.

Genevieve Margherio

Genevieve excels at communicating clearly and effectively. She also can’t help lining things up and putting things in order (which happens to help make visual communication more clear and effective). Under the auspices of Red Lemon Creative, she works with growing businesses to design websites, print collateral, and all manner of clear, effective, marketing devices.
